                   AN ORDINANCE CLOSING AND ABANDONING MILL STREET
                   LOCATED SOUTHWEST FROM FOREST ROAD, NORTHWEST
                   OF HARRISON PIKE, MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED
                   HEREIN.

              	   SECTION 1.  BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
         CITY OF CHATTANOOGA, TENNESSEE, That there be and is hereby 
closed
         and abandoned Mill Street located southwest from Forest Road,
         northwest of Harrison Pike, more particularly described herein, 

         and as shown on plat attached hereto and made a part hereof by
         reference:
                Mill Street, a 20 foot wide unopened right-of-way
                beginning on the southwest line of Forest Road some
                445 feet northwest of the intersection of the
                southwest line of Forest Road with the northwest
                line of Harrison Pike, said point being the
                northeast corner of lot 1, Final Plat Ronald Dean
                Subdivision, as shown by plat of record in plat
                book 48, page 398, R.O.H.C., thence southwest some
                256 feet with the southeast line of lots 1 and 2,
                said Dean Subdivision, said line also being the
                southeast line of Mill Street, to the southwest
                line of Mill Street, thence northwest some 1166
                feet with the southwest line of Mill Street, thence
                northeast some 26 feet, crossing Mill Street at an
                angle, to the northeast line of Mill Street, thence
                southeast some 1132 feet with the northeast line of
                Mill Street to the northwest line of Mill Street,
                thence northeast some 242 feet with the northwest
                line of Mill Street to the southwest line of Forest
                Road, thence southeast some 21 feet with Forest
                Road to the southeast line of Mill Street, the
                point of beginning (all dimensions having been
                measured on said Ronald Dean Subdivision plat, and
                do not agree with measurements on tax map).  Tax
                Map No. 128B-B-14, 15, and 16.
               
               
              	   SECTION 2.  BE IT FURTHER ORDAINED, That this 
Ordinance
         shall take effect two weeks from and after its passage as 
provided
         by law.
